Me too...
Where it is on the h5X caused a lot of "Oops" presses.
Drove me nutz!

Looks like the h5X is in the drawer now that I have this baby

Volume and power buttons are in a better spot for me on the 8.
With the h5X I often touched the power button accidentally.

Nah, the 5x is significantly larger so the buttons are noticeably higher up from the bottom of the phone.

Music streaming via DAC or headphone amp sounds good to me.
I mention this because one of the video reviews mentioned music from the honor 8 was weak with buds/headphones.
My experience has been different as far as listening to music.

I get a kick out of the stock clocks timer interface animation.

I think it's cool that when you turn it off, it asks you if you still want your alarms to go off or not, rather then forcing it to go off.

The camera and built in editing features are very well done in my opinion.
I would say the honor 8 might be a photographers go to as far as smartphone cameras in this range.

Also the quality out of the box are stellar.
Finish on this device is top notch.

...Another thing I like is how this phone has emulated the feel of the Sony Xperia Z3 with many improvements over the Z3.
I initially bought the Z3 twice and sent both phones back because of things like the camera and no updates beyond lollipop for the T-Mo locked models.

Everytime I clutch the 8 and use it I'm reminded of what Sony could have been.

I can't remember which thread I mentioned this in, but I love being able to hide apps! I have a lot of apps hidden, and I hide and unhide certain apps when needed.

I agree about the built in editing features of the camera as well.

That's one of the annoying things about Samsung... They put a limit on burst.

I've taken over 20 pics in a burst so far, been helpful with my 6 month old!

That's great to hear! Nothing worse than doing burst and it just stops once it hits the limit

I just tested to see how many it would take, it stops at 100. Which takes about 5 seconds or so, which is pretty good for a quick action capture
