The IR blaster can also come in handy when you're in a public area that has TVs blasting away, annoying you to no end. You can usually easily find the necessary manufacturer code for the TV online, and then just point your phone at the TV and turn that sucker off!

Ir blaster is certainly awesome simply because I always have my smartphone with me.I don't have to hunt for the remote

I haven't messed with the IR features, does it control smart tv functions on a vizio?

When they say "Fast Charging" they mean it!
7% to 96% in 65 minutes...much faster than my Zenfone2 which I thought was fast.
Wish I had a fast mobile charger that was guaranteed to work for this phone.

If you download the Ampere app, you should be able to see the charging speed with the screen on.

Volume and power buttons are in a better spot for me on the 8.
With the h5X I often touched the power button accidentally.

With the fingerprint sensor I almost never touch the power button.
