    CM7 A2 stands for "CyanogenMod 7 Alpha 2"

It represents the Alpha 2.1 release of CM7. It's Android 2.3.7 "Gingerbread" and, thus, is not Honeycomb.

Also, it's important to realize that this version is a stepping stone. The real aim of the CM7 developers is to use the experience from this port of Gingebread to allow them to do a port of ICS when the source code is released. They would have used Honeycomb instead, but Google has not released the Honeycomb source code.

There is not nor will there ever ever ever ever be a honeycomb port to the touchpad with ICS so close to release.

But not the ASOP version. I doubt Cyanogen do work based on a system dump when they can wait a little longer for the ASOP source code of ICS.

Yes, it will definitely be released, and soon (probably within the next few weeks)

Have you installed the system updates - 3.0.2 gives a nice speed increase. 3.0.4 is a little buggy though...

I have the 3.0.4 but speed is not my issue. I just don't like that there is not that much available for it, and now my email doesn't work.

I threw on CM7 a2 last night, and can't believe how well it runs. I really don't care much about the TP, since I bought it to mess with, so I figured I wasn't out anything if I didn't like it.

I haven't done a ROM install this easy since my Captivate. Netflix is going well, Hulu works pretty well, so far nothing I've tried has failed.

If this is still Alpha, I can't wait until they can get the ICS source and really crank it out. This hardware was made for Android!
