I have Alpha 3 on my touchpad at the minute, i've heard about android apps scamming people out of money with SMS permissions etc, i assume this can not happen on the tablet?

I have never entered any payment details in on the touchpad as i have only downloaded free apps

Just abit confused!

Any help in clearing this up wiuld be much appreciated, thanks :)

As long as your T-Pad isn't paired to a phone I can't see any text or call scams ever working through the T-Pad. And not registering a credit card should be considered double the protection. However still be wary of some apps and read the reviews people have left before downloading anything new. Also there are anti virus apps available for free which will warn you of any dodgy apps you may have installed.

Indeed, the scams are mostly SMS messages and other phone-related scams. Since we're pretty much wifi-only, this is not that much of a concern as those guys using phones. Still, be vigilant.
