Is it smoother than the GS7?

Really hard to say. Both are extremely response.

How hot does the phone get with extended 4K video recording? Or does it get unusually hot during heavy use?

Also, on my M8, the paint wore off on the backside due to the case rubbing in certain areas. Is there a chance of this happening on the 10?

Warms up like any phone. I haven't had it get worryingly warm though. I'll leave the 4K question to Dan Bader who's been doing more 4K video than me

Always a chance of this happening with any anodized paint job. If you're worried, go silver.

Oh, and on battery life. It's not exactly *bad*. But no way you're getting two days out of this thing. Not if you use it like a normal human. I'd say it's about Note 5 / GS6 edge+ level, perhaps a bit below that. Usable, but by no means outstanding.

Can you quantify it with a number please? Would you say you get 15 hours? More or less than that? Also, what screen on time are you seeing?

Probably 12 hours with mixed moderate/heavy use. 4 hours screen on, give or take.

Like I said, usable. Not spectacular.

How is LCD5 screen quality?

Really good, actually. I prefer it to the LG G5's screen, and it's one of the better LCD panels I've seen this year. But it just isn't a match for the Galaxy S7's display.

Battery life on par with the 6P? I know you said comparable to Note 5 but I wasn't sure how comparable that was to the 6P. Thanks in advance.

Does the curved back make it tough to use when lying on a table? That's really annoying on my 2014 Moto X.

How is build quality? On par or better than s7?

Do you guys know 100% whether the hi-res headphones will come in the box or not? I've heard both but Phil said no.

Anecdotally, I'd say the 6P lasts longer. Haven't done any direct tests though.

We'll, it's got a curved back so it'll wobble about.
Have you used the DisplayPort out feature?
nope

Build is great. Comes down to which design or materials you prefer really.

The high def headphones don't come with the phone in the US. In Europe/Asia they do.

Re: We've got the HTC 10 — and we're answering your questions right here!

Hi Alex, thanks for doing this.

1. How's the new Sense software experience? Great/Good/Bad/Meh?

2. How does the camera perform compared to the Nexus 6P, Galaxy S7 and LG G5? Is it a 'great' camera for a 2016 flagship?

3. Overall would you consider this a compelling device to get for someone who was a fan of the M7 and M8 but skipped on the M9? Is HTC back?

Thanks. That is poor though in this day and age. Would get more on my M8.

In general do you feel the 10 is in the same class as the S7 and G5? I know that's a very open question but interpret it as you will. Is there a killer feature that would make you choose the S7 or G5 over the 10?

This is VERY disappointing. Either I am not understanding how battery life should be quantified or its really poor. Claiming 48 hours (and we knew that would not be even close) and only seeing usable 12 hours with SOT of 4? Isn't the S7E getting close to 24 with 4-5 SOT?

So the 10 is smaller than the 6p and S7e, and competes more directly with the S7 (non Edge) and G5. Not sure why people are expecting 6p/S7e battery life out of it.

Re: We've got the HTC 10 — and we're answering your questions right here!

Ok, this is a tough question. I have the HTC 10 in one hand. I have a Nexus 6 in the other. Which one will give me an overall better sound experience? Looking for volume, clarity at volume, and richness of sound primarily, even the Nexus 6 is a bit small for actual stereo separation. I like playing games WITHOUT earbuds in...and I live alone, so I can. :D
