On my HTC M8 the default was 30 days for the sync limit. It is only 3 days on the HTC 10. 3 days is not good at all. Is there a way to get this extended? The only other option is 20 emails per account. This is not good either. How can I change this? Thank you.

Go to settings, then select sync, send, receive, and under sync options select amount of days to sync

Thanks, I didnt realize I could tap on the By days,

Do you know how I can get the mail counter button on the mail app to show only new messages, not total messages. On my M8 it had only the new ones, and now its showing all the messages which will always be over 99. Thanks

The counter shows the number of unread emails, it doesn't show the number of new emails. Simply select all emails select read and now every time you get a new email you'll know how many new ones you got..... The gmail app will give you a counter of new emails even though you haven't read them, you should try it works great.

You just repeated my question. I have a few non gmail accounts, and have always liked the mail app. On the m8, the counter showed new since I last looked. On the m10 it shows unread. My question is can I get it to just show new. Otherwise it's always at 99.
