HTC Aria - HTC Sync issue

Hi,

New to Android, got a HTC Aria. Installed HTC sync on my windows machine (xp sp3), connected my phone with USB debugging on, but it says 'couldn't find HTC sync on the computer'. Tried restarting, tried connecting as a disk drive and then changing to sync, nothing seems to be working. The main reason I wanted this was to update to froyo. So is there any way to fix this or is there another way to get froyo without this? The phone in not rooted.

I think there's some additional drivers you need to download to get it to work. Poke around in some of the stickied threads in this forum, as the directions are there, I'm sure.

try this link and make sure you have all the drives for Aria installed after installing sync, this link really helped me alot when I rooted my Aria phone 2 weeks ago. also on att and running 2.2.2 andriod .
