HTC desire 310 stuck in logo screen

The phone is relatively new. After I upgraded my phone and a week had passed. It suddenly was stuck in the logo screen for hours. So I tried deleting the cache and doing a factory reset. After I do that it goes away fro the logo and upgrades and after that it reboots and then the phone is stuck on the logo screen.

Welcome to Android Central! What do you mean that it upgrades after the factory reset? It updates the system version?

How new is the phone? You may just want to bring it back to the store and ask for an exchange, or contact HTC for a replacement. I would guess it's still under warranty.

It just says *android is upgrading* and at the bottom it says *optimising 128 apps* then after that it reboots. I was hoping to fix it rather than get a replacement.

So after it reboots, does it just do the same thing again with the app optimization?

Do you know if the phone has an option to switch from Dalvik to ART runtime? If so, did you change that?
