    Default internal storage running out, some system functions may not work

    i Really need some help. Purchased an HTC desire 816 a few weeks back. Great device until recently, i keep getting this message 'internal storage running out, some system functions may not work'

    the default write is set to phone storage
    Total space 32Gb
    Available 29.54Gb
    Apps 2.39 Gb
    Pictures, videos 38.62Mb
    Audio 1.17Mb
    Downloads 5.36Mb
    Misc 64.94Mb

    i keep deleting the cache and have deleted some apps then it stopped. the message returned the following day.

    Pls help me out

    Is there any way you could post a screenshot of the storage stats, please?

    just took some screenshots of the storage stats.
    and deleted another app so i can receive mails and so on.

    Maybe clearing the system cache in recovery. Other than that, I am not sure.

    how do i clear the system cache in recovery and would rooting it help in any way

    Try this: [Guide] How to reboot into Stock Recovery on HTC One M8

    Its for the M8, but the steps might be the same. Turn fastboot off.

    Yes this thread has also confused me. The Desire 816 only has 8GB. Plus from the screen shots, he's got an entirely different UI.

    I too wondered about the 32GB figure. Perhaps that refers to a 32GB SD card that he has installed? As others have noted, the HTC Desire 816 comes with only 8GB of internal storage, and about 4 of those GB are already used from the start.
