I've only had the HD Desire for one day. So far loving it. Having a slight problem with the weather app. When clicked on it says 'updating' but soon it says

"the connection dropped while downloading. try downloading again?"

So many attempts later and still the same message. However, turning on wifi and it works fine. My 3G network connection works fine otherwise, so why not with the weather app?

I have the same problem here in the UK. My wife's Desire does the same. After doing a factory reset for something else still happening.

Just refresh the app after going to application settings and force stoping the app. Try Weatherbug app from the market which is free of charge

Here in Germany there were reports of this being due to an update to software number 1.84.207.2, I installed this update but haven't had the problem.

Some apps are very buggy and go through periods of time of not working correctly. So email the developer and tell them.
Most will fix the problem.
