I have a HTC Desire (PB99200) not rooted, running stock recovery and 2.2 (whatever came vanilla from vodafone). The data partition is full so the phone is locked in a boot cycle (WSOD). I have installed platform tools and USB drivers. I can see the phone in fastboot via usb, but in adb it is offline. I can get no further than this. I assume that adb won't come online as stock recovery does not have adbd? I have tried to flash clockworkmod but this doesn't work - I assume because the phone is in S-On state. I didn't have USB debugging turned on before the OS stopped working (if that even applies to this phone).

So I can't mount the OS because adb is offline and I can't get adb working because I can't flash a new recovery. Can anyone suggest anything before I wipe data?
