Hi new guy here...

I have a feeling the answer is no, but I want to ask the learned forum members here -

Is it possible to remove pre-installed HTC widgets from my Eris? For instance, I'll never use the Twitter Widget/App, so I'd like to remove it from the phone permanently.

As far as I know you are pretty much stuck with it. If you hate it that much, just ignore it like that one weird uncle at Christmas

Welcome to the forums buddy. I tried a few things - even using the app "Uninstaller" but only gives options for downloaded apps. Sorry ....

As far as I've read, rooting will be the only way to do that. Just search for how to root.

i was thinking of the same thing. But I do not even use it period. I use tweetcaster. That one works pretty sweet.
