Recommendations?

My partner and I both have the Droid Eris. He received his OTA yesterday and I received mine this morning at 3:00 AM. Naturally, I was a bit ticked that he got the OTA before me, because well... I wanted it first. Haha. I'm the techie, not him!

In any case, when he updated to 2.1, it wiped all of his 1.5 widgets, etc. Do you guys know how to get them back? Do I need to factory reset his phone?

I should add that I also used the solution here (http://forum.androidcentral.com/htc-droid-eris/12719-where-all-my-htc-widgits-1-5-a.html), but to no avail. Soft resetting doesn't do anything to it. Neither does hard resetting.

I had the same issue, I just pulled my battery and they came up after the next boot.

yeah but thats a hard reset i believe and he stated that it didnt work. so i would suggest to factory reset only cause thats the last thing or resort to do. i personally didnt have this problem but if i were you i would hard reset by removing the battery and then if you still dont have your widget than factory reset and if you want i would also suggest that you call verizon (or your provider) that way if the phone messes up more they log and it become their problem not yours anymore... just cover your bases lol
