First problem I've run into with my Eris. Suddenly, my screen has gone extremely dark. I can read it but just barely. I don't have any explanations for what happened -- it was fine yesterday, but dark today. Settings seem fine, and powering off and on didn't change anything. Would rather not do a hard reset if someone has a good idea. Thanks!

Nevermind - powering off didn't work, but taking out the battery and putting it back in seems to have done the trick. That's always the answer, isn't it?

I know that you said the settings are fine, but is your phone on auto backlighting or is it off?
