Question on rebooting

I'm doing the drain cycles and I let it completely die. When I restarted my eris, it took a while. I opened ATK and I see that all the apps are running in the background. So every app u install, it will auto load on startup? What if u got like 200 apps?

i did notice that also.
im just programmed to run ATK as soon as i boot up.

One more thing about memory. Typically its at 91 with atk running, but after a while it ...like a few days it gets in to 60s, I rebooted it and its back to 91-99. So it regular rebootin required? Or is my eris just slow?
