    Default Imap not being pushed

I have both my work email and secondary gmail account using Imap. Occasionally I will notice I have not received email fora couple hours. When I go into email settings and hit refresh all the emails come pouring through. Does this happen to any one else and Amy way to fix it?

It should pull new emails at the interval you specify unless it's the main gmail address or exchange which are pushed.

Yes I know it should and I have it set to check every 15 mins. Any ideas?

I have been having this problem since I got the phone and just fixed it yesterday. Do you kill it with advance task killer? If so, ignore it (don't kill) and it will work.

Don't kill the mail app? I'll give that a try

Exactly, if you long press it in the ATK app, a screen will pop up and hit ignore. It will not show up in ATK anymore and won't be killed when you kill everything else.

If you can afford $25 a year, and it is worth that much to you, you may want to consider the service at . It offers push using Exchange Activesync for a gmail account, so you could use that with the Mail application for your secondary gmail account and have mail pushed to the device instead of polling for it.

not killing it seems to have done the trick.

Polling for it is fine, i don't really need push
