is there a way to view call history and time???

i know if you go into each individual contact you can see the whole call log but that only works with people in your phonebook

Yes. Click on phone so that you see the dialer pad. Then click the menu button a couple of times and you'll see the call history option. Should give you all calls and date and call duration. Hopefully, this helps
