I have had the Eris for 2mos. I love the phone it is user friendly and full of great tools. Just recently upgraded to 2.1 leak and this phone is a whole different animal!! It is missing a few components from the 2.1 version that is to come? But I believe that when it comes we can reinstall and maybe have whats missing overlap whats there. Please send me a new case BTW

Does the 2.1 update improve the sluggishness mode that the phone sometimes gets into? I usually need to kill all the apps to get the phone back to a responsive mode.

I am still experiencing a sluggish mode periodically but not as many and they don't last as long. It really does feel like a new phone. It feels like I upgraded the processor instead of the firmware.

I agree with drgfunk, although very happy with the leaked 2.1. I did not install any task killer with the leaked version and that may be why it is less sluggish..

i have a droid eris,and i had it in my pocket all day,and when i took it out to use it,the lcd screen was all messed up
