"Root of SD card"
So I'm rooting my phone. And i wanted to make sure i'm doing it right.
It says to "1. place the PB00IMG.zip in the root of your sdcard" Does that mean like when i hook it up to my computer and open it as a folder, i just drag it into there?Droid Eris/Android user as of 2/23/10. - 03-27-2010, 02:32 PM #2

Re: "Root of SD card"
The "root directory" is the directory you connect to when you first connect to the SD card when you connect it to your computer. It's the place where all of your files and other folders are stored. Root is not the name of a folder or a file - it's the place where all of your other folders are stored. The top level folder.
I hope that explains it well enough... - 12-01-2011, 03:25 PM #5

Re: "Root of SD card"
I have repeatedly tried to apply the mvd update on my sd card and my phone cannot find it. Call me ed but I have read all the posts and obviously I am not placing the update correctly on the sd card. Where is the "highest level" or root directory?
