Handcent-getting duplicate msg

I just installed Handcent on my wife's Eris and I set it as the default app for messaging. When she receives a text msg now, it arrives in Handcent and in the native msg app. I have killed the msg app and even did a hard reset, but to no avail, it still receives duplicate msg.

Any suggestions?

It will always go to the default messaging app. Trick it and disable the notifications for the stock app and you will be all set. I use handcent as the default, and disabled the stock notifications and no issues.
