Dimming issues

Hey there everyone im new to the forum so im sorry if this question was asked, but my eris screen will be really dim when I answer a call or text or sometimes just waking it up from sleep, and I have the auto dimmer turned off. Has anyone else had this issue, I have been to Verizon and they tell me its my auto dimmer but i dont have it on. Thanks Guys

have you rebooted since you turned Auto-dim off? If so try turning it on then rebooting, turn it off and reboot. Try an experiment call someone an take the phone away from your face then cover the prox sensor in the upper left, with your hand does the screen go black?
