Hboot 1.5 with S-off, How do I regain root?

I followed the 1.5 to 1.4 downgrade and all went well. However I believe I managed to run 2.08 ruu .exe, and as such I am stuck on a Locked hboot 1.5 with s-off on software version 2.08.651.3. Now, how can I get back to root? From my understanding I wont be able to follow the 1.5 downgrade steps that I did last time because if you follow the steps while s-off it is supposed to permanmently brick it

Do I have any course of action, I would prefer not to HTC Unlock. Thanks,

If you are hboot 1.5 you will have to HTC unlock. Revolutionary only works on 1.3 and 1.4.

Do I have to use the HTC unlock method or is there some way to put the phone back into S-on so that i can do the downgrade again?

yes you can go back to s-on pm unknown over at xda he did it many times developing the down grade method
