    Default Overheating and poor battery?

    Hey guys,

I've noticed over the past week or so that my battery has gotten absolutely abysmal. It started out just fine when I got my 3D, but now it drops 50% in 4 hours when all I've done is read a couple emails and send a few texts. Otherwise, all it does is sit there. Additionally, after a 10 minute phone call, I'll notice the battery has dropped about 10-15%. Is this happening to anyone else?

In conjunction with all this, I've noticed the phone has been getting very warm (not HOT, but quite warm) while charging and while I'm on a call.

I'm thinking the two issues might be related, but all HTC tech support did was advise me to turn off wi-fi, reduce screen brightness, blah blah blah. I had an Evo 4G, so I know how to conserve battery, but this doesn't seem right. Any thoughts? Thanks!

I would recommend getting the app "watch dog". You can see, in detail, what is running. I suspect it is an app you downloaded. For instance, I had tweetcaster until I realized it was taking 30-40% of CPU usage when not even in use. Poorly written apps can easily kill a battery.

I have EVO 3d. Same problems. Called HTC today & having replacement battery sent. Did not put up with a lot of blah blah blah. If problems persist will look elsewhere for solutions. Good luck
