Block call in contacts app? (People)

Hey guys!

I am still very new to Android. So I was looking around at my contacts. I found an option in the stock app "Block call"...Does this work like I think it would? Meaning not allowing this person to call me at all? Has anyone used it? Found it interesting and could see this being useful in the future!

Yes, it sends the caller directly to VM. I had been getting a few phone bots / telemarketing even though I'm on the "Do Not Call" list. I added them to a "Blocked" user on my phone and set all calls to be blocked. Since I'm on Google Voice, I had them go to a system disconnected VM so that hopefully they get the hint.

Very cool! Thanks for the replies guys! Like you illwood I am too on the do not call list...Does not seem to work to well. Guess I will make a contact called "Do Not Call" and block em!

However I did find some apps on the app market that will pickup and hang up the phone on them too...

I may give this a try too! This way they can not leave me annoying voice mails.
