The Evo 3D has DLNA capability but your TV needs to be DLNA compatible and they both need to be on your wifi network. Just go the the connected media app or media share and allow it to access your music,pictures and video files(including downloaded movies) and you can display them on your TV with any wires or adapters. The quality is excellent. If you want to watch online movies then you need the mhl adapter.

I bought the mhl adapter and it didn't work. What I do is find a way to get whatever I want to view on my sd card, plug up my phone to my Xbox via usb cord and mount it as a disk drive. This way is better to me for 3 reasons. Number one it doesn't heat up your battery because the screen is not on while your watching using my method. Number 2 your phone charges more when watching something this way because the screen is not on and finally you can still text or surf the Web while phone is plugged up. If you don't have a x box or ps3 most tv's have usb drives on then now. Oh and a final benefit, you don't have to run around looking for a mhl cord or waste the money buying one when you do find it. Honestly somebody can have my mhl cord. Haven't used it in almost a year
