Default Visual Task Switcher & Itching Thumb Don't Seem To Work

Hello, new Android friends! I'm a long-time WebOS user, who recently made the switch to Android, just a few days ago. So far, I'm loving the Evo 3D, but I really do miss Palm's "deck of cards" interface for switching between running apps. I multitask A LOT.

I've tried to use both Visual Task Switcher and Itching Thumb, which I understand replicate the cards metaphor, to a degree. However, neither seems to work. When I try to bring up the cards view, I get just an empty window, with no apps in it, as if absolutely nothing is running.

Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong? Is there perhaps something unique about the HTC Sense interface that prevents these third party task switchers from displaying properly?

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Any news on this? I would love to use Itching Thumb on my Motorola Admiral...
