    Instamapper. Don't have to have Android on the phone being tracked. Works great with Android also, and it's free.

    does that inatamapper require software to be installed on each phone like Google? I use family locator because no software is needed or to be running.

    Yes. It'll work on any Android phone, or any phone that runs Java. Installations is easy:

    Glympse. Also, you can use the find my phone feature on Lookout if you know the login for that phone.

    Most antitheft apps can be used. Prey gives you the ability to track the phone, and the control panel is accessible via your phone or PC web browser. Oh, and it's free too.
