    Default Disable capacitive buttons backlight

Is there a way to disable the backlight for the capacitive buttons? It would be really helpful when watching a movie on the phone. I tried looking for a setting, but could not find one.

Screen Filter. only downside is it leaves a ongoing notification, but still worth it

Yeah this app is cool, and if you are watching a movie the notification shouldn't matter at all.

The screen filter app, really screwed up my phone. The touchscreen started acting weird. I would touch an area on the screen, but a different area would react as if it were touched.

Somewhere along the line HTC changed the backlight. I don't remember if it was my Hero or when the EVO first came out, but when playing a video or movie, the backlight would automatically shut off. Not sure why they went away from that. I really wish they just gave us a manual control over it. Would save battery usage.
