accidently charged 3d with epic 4g charger ....

This is the second time I have charged my evo 3d with my epic 4g cord, don't ask I'm not thinking sometimes ....i both times I have left it on for a complete charge and removed it as soon as the light was green. Have I done any damage ? Have I sent to much heat volts or whatever to damage the insides? Sorry if this is a dumb question just kinda worried , also would anyone know the differences in chargers ....like wich is stronger etc ...thanks

I use the same cord to charge my E3D, Arrive & Shift4G. Didn't notice any issues or problems.

I believe that cord (connector) is the new standard for cell phones. My girlfriend uses my E3D cord on her phone and and its not an HTC or smart phone. I AM trying to bring her around tho! ;-)

yes, virtually all phones are mini/micro usb. the milliamps might vary and prove a slower charge, but no damage.

i hope the common usb interface is part of an intentional reduction of "e-waste" campaign

I believe you're right. Used to be expensive and annoying since you'd have to get a new car charger every time you got a different phone because while the phone came with a wall charger they didn't include one for your car. Back then there were always so many different types and of course they never had the one for yours on the cheap rack! I'm glad that it appears there is a standard now!

I wrote a little blurb about this a while back.

Yes they are making it an industry standard to help control ewaste.
Also you are fine using the Samsung charger on your EVO 3D.
I my self have Motorola, Samsung, HTC, Palm and Blackberry chargers all over the place.

The U in usb stands for universal, using other brands is not a problem

Unfortunately not all manufacturers adhere to the highest of quality standards. So the U stands for Universal however not every charger or cable is made the same. While most will work some low end cheap ones will not.
I have ran across low end aftermarket crap that is USB. But in principle your right.

I have micro USB cables dating back to my Samsung rant that I still use on my Evo 3d, original Evo 4g, Evo View table, LG Optimus, LG lotus and finally my Motorola PTT VZW phone that is a company phone.

In case anybody is wondering the Evo 4G is inactive since it was upgraded to 3d, the Optimus was for a friend but it's on seasonal standby now and the LG Lotus I still keep cus its the number all my creditors have, as soon as Google voice will let me port it in I will be porting it.
