Odd problem

So lately, out of the blue my phone sort of semi-freezes. Let me explain. I can't switch screens on the phone, if I hit the home button they all come up then I can pick which one I want...but I can't rotate them. Any and all of the icons on whatever screen I'm on won't work yet the phone, app list and personalize buttons still do. Sometimes it unfreezes on its own, other times I have to shut the phone off.

Has anyone else had this problem? I haven't made any changes to the phone or downloaded any new apps.

Mine is working fine. Try a battery pull and see if it fixes the problem.

Sounds like a software issue then maybe. Have you tried a hard reset yet?

I had have had the same problem twice now. My phone is stock and has not been rooted.

This used to happen to me when I used the task killer too much... EASY FIX : pull down the notification menu, and put it back up, it unfreezes everything. I have not seen this issue since the 2.3.4 update, but then again I barely ever use the task killer anymore...

I think you're describing the same issue I've had a few times. The screen is lit up and all the apps are shown but nothing responds to a touch except for the 4 "buttons" at the bottom. I can fix it by just turning the screen off, back on and unlocking.

That is what I do when it happens to me too.
