Don't laugh but I only have tube TVs in the house. I want phone to receive Netflix via WiFi and then transmit signal to TV. What kind of adapters and cables will I need? Will phone battery get a charge from anything during play?

I do that with an MHL which adapts the micro USB to HDMI . Netflix app is not HD though so it's pretty pixilated when blown up to TV size. I guess on old SD TVs it may look OK, though you'll also need to adapt the HDMI to whatever your TV has for inputs. So you'd need a MHL adapter and microUSB charger for it, HDMI cable, and HDMI to whatever adapter.

I doubt anyone make an HDMI to analog converter that you would need for an old tube TV, and if they do, it will be a specialty product cost far more than the WiFi Roku player. It's not as simple as just getting an adapter to change the plug; it's two completely different transmission formats.

Dude...its not that serious, you can find a Roku for about $60, which will be cheaper than trying to buy all types of adapters & converters. Its cool that we have the ability to watch Netflix on the phone when on the go, but don't be ridiculous. If you want to watch netflix on your tv, you need a Roku, wi-fi TV or DVD player, or a dedicated computer to hook to it.
