ICS on EVO 3D

I confirm. Htc told me the same thing. I just went through training for evo lte. And the rep said 2 weeks after evo lte launches

given that EVO LTE launch is now delayed, hopefully, the ICS update for EVO 3D doesn't get delayed along with that... Grrrr

That sucks. I was hoping they would update it along with the Sensation. Being that I'm waiting for my EVO LTE to arrive that I'd at least have ICS to play with for a while. i guess i'm just stuck waiting across the board.

Yeah sprint told me the same thing but I doubt the update will get delayed

Looks like there saying June July. That sucks for you guys still on stock e3d. And more than likely it'll be end of June early July at that. Screw that! Now waiting for my EVO LTE

Plus he practically preaches about the LTE every chance he gets. If you love the phone so much (BEFORE you even have it I might add) then go to the LTE section and leave us 3VO users be.

See and this is what happends when you make assumptions. Did i ever say my e3d is rooted? Umm no! Just got my 4th EVO and i didn't bother to root it as its my last week with it. But its ok people make mistakes. So again in no way shape or form am I saying I'm or my phone is superior but i will say yes to having a rooted e3d is superior to stock. Sorry buddy but there's no arguing there.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean. If you accept the OTA update from Sprint/HTC then after you update all of your data and apps will still be on your phone and everything should work. (It's possible that some apps could have an ICS related bug and stop working. But that should be unlikely for the most part.)

Well I think worst-case scenario he'll just have to wait for some apps to be updated to be ICS-compatible. Though most of the apps I use have already done this.

June 16 has come and gone. Still no ICS for my evo3d. What gives? Is there a definite OTA date for the update?
Jellybean will be out and still no ICS.
Sprint get with it and give us ICS!!

June 16 was a made up date by idiots. That was never uttered by Sprint or HTC.

I'm already on the edge of just not buying this ICS Update coming in June-July. All this vagueness is what's keeping me suspicious. They sound almost like John Rubenstine even copying the quote "Coming Months". Oh well I'm rooted, HBOOT 1.4, and I S-Offed (If that's a word) my phone and running ViperROM (earlier MeanROM) and they're all fully functional. It's sad How ICS head been held by Sprint/HTC for 9 months and they still can't give any release date yet we already have developers who made fully functional ROMS from the Leaks.

It's all about sells to sprint. Why update our phones when they don't even sell them anymore. They want people to upgrade to a new phone. Personally I like ics because I've used it on my rooted phone but its not all that by any means.
