Default cant disable background data and it causes battery to die faster

Is there a way to disable background data with ICS? I noticed a long time ago that when background data is disabled my battery lasts twice as long with ICS there's only am Orion to "restrict" it and that doesnt conserve the battery at all.

So what is causing the background data? looks like you are just running a bad app.

You most likely need to use the Android power widget or HTC Sync widget. If not you will have to go into accounts & sync settings and disable each one manually.
