What are you dumping in the CC (cellphone cemetery) to get the wonderful Evo 3D?
I'm sending my Pre - to the CC... It's a shame it had so much potential and Palm screwed it up and who knows may be HP one day will get it right.

EVO 3D here I come!!!
Can't wait!

same here. RIP PALM PRE.
just some words of wisdom here.
DO NOT let them transfer your contacts from Pre to Evo. It messed mine up bad. Instead go to your gmail account and hand type them all in (doesnt take that long trust me.) and then when you log into your phone for the first time all your contacts will be there in perfect order.
I had an evo for a few weeks about a month ago and wish I wouldve known ahead of time. - 06-08-2011, 08:28 AM

Ditto. Persistence was my middle name. I am not set on what phone I will be replacing it with yet but I will leave those discussions for another thread. I love webOS but the hardware and developer support is shocking to say the least. I might have stuck around but there is zero carrier support in the UK. I was not interested in the minimal upgrade to the Pre Plus while the Pre 2 and Pre 3 were not taken up by any carrier. webOS is stuck in a vicious lack of support cycle.

R.I.P Palm Pre(Sprint)
I loved the way you effortlessly multi-tasked pandora, emails and sms and one or two web pages. (Anything else and the phone would struggle) Notifcations were a treat but everything else was dreadful. The phone was/is slow as molasses and it took 5 mins to boot and just had too much lag even when compared to a iphone 3g(GPU?). Love the guys at WOI but there is just no application support and i refuse to wait for better as the precentral faithful seem to be doing. After a reboot the VEER is the best they have to offer??? !#$#% that...i'm out. Would never buy another palm/hp device again...Thanked by: - 06-08-2011, 08:40 AM #6

Palm Pre Here,
i think enuff has been said about how the Pre started out as a champion able to take on the iphone and any other phone at that time. Fast forward a year, and Palm went under got bought by HP, and that postponed everyone with a launch pre another year. Why Sprint wasn't getting any other updated Pre is beyond me, and why they were getting a max of 1 good app a month. Then fast forward another year, people are still holding onto their launch pre waiting for the acclaimed Pre 3 to come out and take over the dying phone. Well HP created a phone that is a couple of months old when it is released and doesnt push for more developer support. I just read on the sister site PreCentral that they are taking down the beta and preware feeds. I feel like HP is breaking up with everyone who owned a launch pre or webos1.4.5 phone and moving on. HP, were we so ugly and disgusting that you just tossed us in the ground? All in all i am glad i was part of a group of loyal members only looking for the best out of a company, but that company doesnt want our help.

I'm going to use my Evo 4G to learn to root and ROM, so I guess it's not so much going to the graveyard but becoming my new test device. I still use my Pre as a wi-fi device and as my MP3 player.

Funny you mention that. My sons went to our local RS at like 1am to be 1st in line for the Pre. No one elso arrived until about 30 min. before the store opening. We went to preorder the 3D at BB a month ago so. I called them to check on our paperwork to make sure they still had it. She checked her folder and we are still the only people to preorder through that particular BB. LOL
