3D camera lens touches surface?

Very interested in the EVO 3D, however I have one concern. Do the 3D cameras touch the surface they are set on or is there a small bezel that protects them?

I think the red ring around the edge will in fact be a little "cushion" for the camera.

I think there is a glass cover on them, so the lens and the sorroundings never really touch the surface.

Yeah that too, but I think the red rim is a nice plastic and sticks up just over the glass.

Yeah, but if the glass cover gets scratched up from being layed down flat, your pics will not be good.

That red rim better stick out enough. Otherwise we will be seeing screen protectors for the camera lense cover.

Are you setting your phone on concrete? I don't know why it would have to be covered other than in case you drop it.
