Default HTC Evo 3D Vs. Evo 4G Plus

I guess this is why Sprint and HTC had to play up the 3D part of the E3D because they knew that this Evo 4G+ ( Plus ) was being released ... Kinda interesting ... If this was Available on Sprint would you rather keep the 3D part or have the EXACT same phone WITHOUT 3D?

Besides the omission of 3D, specs are largely the same as found in last month's leaked ROM: 1.2GHz dual-core CPU, 4.3-inch qHD display, and 1GB of RAM. Instead of dual five-megapixel cameras, however, EVO 4G+ packs a 1080p-capable eight-megapixel shooter along with a 1.3-megapixel front-facing cam. The 2D/3D toggle switch has been repurposed to select between still and video camera modes.

Wow......didn't see that one coming. I guess I'd go 3d since it is optional and all. I may have an urge to watch a 3d movie or play a 3d game one day

you sure this is real? why does it still have the switch on the side? what's it for? i would probably want that just a little more, but not enough to wait for it if its only difference is really the camera.

It likely will never come to Sprint or the US. Does Sprint own the EVO name in the US? Can't see a Verizon or ATT EVO. I'd take it over the 3D though for the better camera.

The "3D" may be a gimmick but so what? You don't have to use the 3D settings on the phone. It still takes 2D pics and shoots 2D video so why not throw it in for good measure? I'm just saying.....

I believe its slated for the korean market but I thought that the " EVO " branding was a Sprint trademark.

Seeing as that I have a Panasonic 3D television, I would stick with the EVO 3D. I am honestly not yet sold on viewing 3D content on a phone, but creating 3D content that I can view on my 3D TV is a different story.

Wtf? Isn't this exactly what most of us would prefer? Who cares about the 3d crap? I'd much rather have this and its' 1080p-capable 8mp camera as I won't be using the 3d on my phone anyway. GAH. Why Korea?!?

I agree. I would rather welcome the 8mp than 3d.

The way that your TV views "3D" and the way the E3D views "3D" is totally different .... Your TV creates the 3D image to come out at you ... The way E3D has the images creating a "depth of field" into the device.

I would first need to experience the 3d effect on the EVO 3D myself, as I don't have the phone yet. And i would have to compare the 2D images taken with both phones. The EVO 4G's images i believe had better color saturation but the images were not as sharp as those on the EVO 3D.

Its crazy how the poll is right smack down the middle ... I still believe that Sprint's we gotta be first at everything mentality cost them a great true Evo 2nd Gen replacement.

    Default EVO 4G+ ?

Just got my Evo 3D today, and it is amazing. I love it. Came across this video on engadget, and it would be interesting if Sprint came out with a HTC 4G+ with only one 8MP camera still. What would be the point of this if our 5MP cam is pretty much as good?

HTC 4g+ is actually the HTC Rider, only being released in European and Korean markets....

No, this is actually Korean's EVO 3D (As known as HTC Rider). That's why it has different name- from "EVO 3D" to "EVO 4G+". Yeah Korean fix changing EVO 3D a lot such as very well 9 MP, good GB, and etc....

Oh I changed my mind. I go for no 3D. This is NOT a optional. Some of you prefer 3D, it's only optional. Yay!!

Actually I would assume not, because in Japan the Supersonic is called the Evo Wimax, and is not on Sprint.
