Just search the Market for "torch" and a bunch of free LED Flashlight apps will pop up.

I really liked the way HTC did their flashlight on my OG EVO! I want it back! *pout*

The flashlight is even mentioned on page 102 of the manual, but I can't find it.

I am using "Tiny Flashlight + LED"

You can use it as an app or a widget.

Someone should email HTC and see what their official response is about the missing flashlight app...

Seems to me I saw the flashlight app being used in one of the Sensation reviews. Maybe just a bug on the 3D?

Is this apk the HTC app, and does it work with no problems?

Also, does anyone have the HTC battery app? I really preferred it over the market apps.

I am using this flashlight app and it is working with no problems at this time. The flashlight has a HTC symbol on it so I am guessing it is the htc apk.

100% agree. I miss my battery widget from the Evo.

When running the flashlight apk, what exactly are we doing to load this? A little more detail would be helpful.

So how do I install this Flashlight app?

Put it on your phone, via USB. Then download an "app installer" from the market. That will scan your sd card for .apk files, which it will then install as apps. It's really pretty easy.

Click link, it will download, when finished, go to notification bar and click on it...it should pull up a box, read what it says and follow the instructions, super easy...
