WATCH Update Pushed

I just received an pushed update notification for the Watch application.

Did anyone else receive this?

I received it and it looks to resolve an issue with the watch service syncing correctly, causing the sync icon to stay lit in the notification bar. And I also think that was causing Gmail to not sync properly either (the sync service was probably getting stalled on the Watch sync).

i'll have to try and get this update, i've been tearing my hair out trying to figure out why my sync icon hasn't gone away in the past 2 or 3 hours.

Also unlike most updates, this one doesn't require a reboot of the device. It just runs and completes. I saw the sync icon disappear right after, and all of my apps were able to sync successfully afterwards. The only issue I have so far is the phone app disappearing, but I just replaced it with the people app in the lockscreen for now.

Another side note, this also resolved the 100% wake time I was seeing on the device after the first update. Again, probably all related to Watch syncing.

i tried a few times last night and eventually gave up. tried again this morning and it worked fine. i watched a couple of scenes.

That explains it. I stopped the sync last night and manually sync'd Gmail and it was all good after that. No more sync icon.

Off to do the new update.

Has anyone figured this out? I too deleted green lantern from the watch app. I still have the icon in my app tray but it doesn't do anything.

I am trying to bypass the faulty initial update that breakin stuff and get the one for HTC Watch. I am being shown only the faulty update and when I say cancel no other update is showing. Anyone know where I can get the small file for the Watch fix or bypass the faulty one? Thanks.

You can't live without a shortcut for the dialer on the lock screen? That's the only bug I got with the update, it would be worth it to me, to lose that to get the update for the sync issue with Watch.

I guess you guys will have to find a friend that has a Evo 3d too and copy the movie over from them.

I agree with you as I figure they will fix it sooner than later anyway. I bit the bullet and accepted the update. Thanks.

Mine had the icon for The Green Hornet, but it wasn't actually on my phone. I did the updates (including the "broken one") and it didn't break.

I can't get Watch to even run right. It first said there was an update, which I ran, now it keeps saying it needs to be updated but it already happened so I"m not sure what it's looking for.

Well, it looks like the Watch update may have problems too.

Every time I try to pull up Green Hornet, it says I need an update, then redirects me to the Software Update check and doesn't find it. Argh!!! I just want everything up and running right!

Edit: And just as soon as I say that, I get an update notification pushed to me. It also says it addresses the lock screen issue and a few other things. It says to restart the phone after the update. Hopefully everyone else will start to see this as well.
