Are you able to change the scroll through the apps listings from page to page to sliding through the list like the original evo? Seems like a pain to go page by page if you need to get to bottom.

Nope. I find it easier this way. just remember what page your app is on instead of having to run through the list. Also, since there is now a favorite apps tab, that should make it easier to find your most frequently used apps.
