Default Yahoo mail issue with new EVO 3D

Is there a problem with Yahoo? I been trying to get my account set up on the EVO3D for two days without success. Now to think of it a co-worker asked me a similar question about a week ago but it was working fine on my EVO then. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm currently experiencing issues with yahoo as well. This happened when I updated to the most recent GB. Of course I'm still on the EVO 4g.

Known issue right now, not only for the 3d.. Your solution is to use the yahoo app in the market.. Best of luck...

A fix until you get it working is to have your yahoo forwarded to your gmail. You can do this in Gmail on a desktop. I had yahoo when first for an android device, I forwarded the. Eventually fazed out yahoo altogether. I would much rather have direct push

I'm running a custom GB 2.3.4 ROM on my EVO 4G and Yahoo sets up and works just fine. There have been times that I had to do a manual install where I had to enter in all the incoming and outgoing email server info. Just Google search yahoo imap settings and you should be able to find the manual info you need to enter to set it up. I'll search for it and post a link if I find it.

This one is from Yahoo, so if the other one doesn't work try this one...

Having the same issue... changing the imap settings as found on the yahoo help page doesn't fix it either. Historically that has always worked when I've encountered this on other devices.

I was able to create my yahoo account, the 3d saw the @yahoo.com and did the rest. but, it's not pulling my email down. incoming server was set to htc.imap.yahoo.com and outgoing was htc.smtp.yahoo.com. i took htc out of the beginning of both servers and it still didn't work. that's the only problem that i have.

I also am having the same problem. Yahoo worked fine on my EVO 4g with the update. It works on yahoo mail app. It registers fine on 3D, but shows no messages and will not send mail either. My work uses yahoo for employee email and I can not change this. They post all overtime and schedule changes to it. I am losing money, help!!!

I had the same thing with my old Hero. It phone would see the server, but it wouldn't pull the mail. I think what I did before was take it off and add it after a reboot, but that hasn't worked for me on the 3D.

Now that I got the stand alone Yahoo App working, the Yahoo account in EVO Mail shows up as account (Still not pulling mail), but not in the mail account settings, so I can't delete it

EDIT: Figured out how to delete the account. Yeah for me! heh...

This issue is super-annoying. I use Yahoo as my primary mail provider and I had absolutely zero issues on my Palm Pre. I love the 3D and I know this isn't a 3D issue but I really wish Yahoo would fix this already. That and the inability to actually set Yahoo (or any other mail provider except Gmail) to push mail. The lowest frequency is "Every 5 minutes". That's absurd.

I've tried setting it up automatically as well as various IMAP settings and still cannot get it to work. 'm not a fan of teh Yahoo Mail app from the market but I guess for now there isn't much choice. Has anyone heard anything regarding this issue?

Yeah this is officially broken. I tried every conceivable manual setup that has always worked before and no mail is pulling. Calling Sprint to report.

I don't know why this problem is effecting some but not others because I set mine up on Friday and I have had no problems. It pushes my email just fine.

I have had the same issue. I took my phone into Sprint today after dealing with it for two full days and the guy didn't even TRY to fix it......he asked me if I had my contacts on Gmail and I said yes, he then took my SD card out of the back of my phone and handed me a new one. After 2 days of figuring out the REST of my phone, all that hard work of dowloading and filling out logins was all for not in a matter of 30 mins. I got home and guess what.........same problem. After reading the forums I am hoping that they will get it fixed soon. Looks like I will have to forward my email to my gmail acct at this point. Sucks. But then again, there are ALWAYS kinks with the first batch of gadgets......gues we now know what the kinks are with the 3D EVO!!!

It's not just the Evo 3d, my frines 4G does the same thing, if anything, I think it's a problem with Gingerbread because for him it started right after he installed the Netflix fix update.
