    Default Live wallpaper

    Hey everyone. I didn't see anything for this post yet, so I hope it hasn't been addressed yet. I've tried setting the weather live wallpaper. When I do, it starts, but the animations stop only after a few seconds. Looks like it freezes up. The phone works fine, but the animations stop. When previewing it, it's continuos. Not sure why it freezes. Any ideas?

    Thanks!

    Imagine how quickly that would drain your battery life?

    Yeah. That occurred to me. Just curious is all. Kind of a fun toy. Do live wallpapers use more battery in general? Even he ones that don't require an internet connection?

    To answer the first question: Mine acts the same way- the animation stops after a few seconds. Either HTC messed it up, or it is supposed to act this way, I suspect.

    To the second question: In my experience (OG Evo, using many ROMs, including Sense and AOSP) live wallpapers *do not* impact battery life significantly. The android battery usage page shows the live wallpaper takes *at worst* 2-3% of total battery usage over several hours.
    Palm Pre -> Evo -> Evo3D (for two weeks) -> Nexus S 4G -> SGSIIE4GT -> EVO LTE

    I've used the Nexus looking Live screen and the weather one. No issues with freezing yet I guess it's using more battery so I turned them off ;-/
