My daughter got ahold of it when we were Skyping with her grandparents. In the matter of seconds she grabbed it and threw it on the ground. I had it ina case and holster and there wasn't even a scratch on it...it al lhappened in slow motion and I was really happy nothing happened to the phone.

I dropped mine on asphalt but I have the otterbox defender on it so it landed on the cushy silicon and was unharmed

I returned the commuter, it seemed as though when i took pics, the rubber over the camera button caused me to move a lil making the pics blurry...

My kid dropped it this morning. 4ft drop to tile- not a mark on it. I almost suffored cardiac arrest however.

I dropped it a few minutes ago while Skyping with my brother. It was a couple of feet, but a couple of cables broke its fall and it landed face down.

The only thing I have on it is the invisible shield. After reading this thread, I feel like I need a good case Lol, but they're all so ugly.

Check out the barely there case from case mate. Does not change looks at all, except around the camera lens,, it actually make them look better. Go to website and check it out, might just be the case you want.

Yikes. I can live with dropping the phone myself because that would be completely my fault, but if someone causes it to happen, all hell would break loose for at least half a second...

3 foot tumbling drop onto the street floor... Nothing more on the phone then the XO skin on screen. No damage anywhere

Took a minute or two to rub away the scuff marks but no damage, luckily.

heh, that's a subjective thing. I think the cases that cover the camera make it look ugly personally =)

This is so funny because I dropped my EVO on Friday which forced me to get a EVO 3D with a Otterbox Shield case which is really big but better safe then sorry.

I dropped mine onto my wood floor yesterday, I was actually sort of amused at the solid sound the Otterbox Commuter case made when it hit the floor instead of the "plastic breaking noise" without a case

Have dropped it a handful of times... no cover/case/screen shield, doing just fine.

I dropped mine just reaching for it on my desk. As it was falling I did the hot potato trying to catch it. Time slowed down like a NFL films highlight. No damage to the phone but my hair or lack there of did turn white.

Dropped mine getting out of the car and it smack landed right on the corner. Now I have a nice little crack right there. I know better than to do anything without at least a commuter case! Lesson relearned I guess!
