Default Most important thing that no review talks about - build quality!

Is it just me or does nobody talk about the build quality of the Evo 3D. I just think its phenominal. I mean there is no squicking anywhere. The phone is just built like a tank. I don't think I have read a single review talking about it but in my opinion its one of the number one things about my phones. All I always see is speed and processor and as we all know this phone is a rocket and to me processors at this point no longer matter. Anyway just wanted to see what you guys think.

Yep feels great and now feels even better with the commuter otterbox case on it. I really like this case, it looks like it's part of the phone.

Yes it's a super solid HTC feel to it. Their phones go hard! Even my old touch pro held up for nearly 2 years. And trust me I put that phone through all the paces and then some.

I love the way the phone feels in hand, just wish the 2nd(middle) camera lens wasnt so far in the center of the back of the device.

And the Camera button on the side doesnt feel like it is going to be able to go the long haul. Anybody tried shaking your Evo 3D a little? do u hear that little jiggle shaking sound? thats your camera button. now talk about that

I opted for the defender one myself because I tend to drop my phone from time to time. But I think both of these cases look really good on the phone and not as bulky as I thought.

I agree. Solid build quality but that rattling of the 2D/3D switch is a little annoying..

Ditto on the 2d/3d switch...amazing how loud it rattles! Kinda cheapens the experience a bit which is sad.

Agreed with all. Feels like crack in my hand LOL. One little thing tho... Has anyone else noticed at night you can see through the physical buttons? This wasn't even the case on my OG EVO so when I noticed it I was very surprised...

After my Nexus One's build quality (which I loved) and then feeling how crappy the Nexus S and Incredible felt, I was worried the 3D would be a light piece of garbage.

It feels perfect, I love the feel.

It is annoying...But I put my sweet commuter case on it and it helped a little bit. At least now I only hear the switch and not the switch and the camera button.

Im hoping to get a case soon to help this out soon as well. I'd hope not to have glue syrup or kool-aid unknowingly help fix a rattling button problem. lol

You know the Nexus S is made by Samsung, right?

Big reason why i prefer HTC as a manufacturer is their phones feel great in the hand. They feel like a high end phone and not a toy that will break after a little play time. (looking at samsung for that one)

Yeah I was actually just thinking about that earlier. Despite how hard it is to pull that back cover off, I love it because it wraps around the edge of the phone for a secure, tight fit. No squeaks or creaks with the back cover
. Everything is solid except for those darn camera buttons. Blows my mind that some designers at HTC thought it was ok to have some loosey goosey buttons on the phone. Like many of you said, it kind of takes away from the experience when you can literally here the buttons jiggle. Maybe they did it on purpose so we would not be complaining a month from now about how loose they have gotten.

I also feel the back cover feels a bit flimsy when trying to remove it for the first time.. lots of us probably won't really have a reason to remove it unless to swap out the sd card for a larger one. but I ordered an extra one online before even receiving the device just in case. I'd pay top money for a metallic or stronger replacement
