Most important thing that no review talks about - build quality!
Is it just me or does nobody talk about the build quality of the Evo 3D. I just think its phenominal. I mean there is no squicking anywhere. The phone is just built like a tank. I don't think I have read a single review talking about it but in my opinion its one of the number one things about my phones. All I always see is speed and processor and as we all know this phone is a rocket and to me processors at this point no longer matter. Anyway just wanted to see what you guys think.

Yep feels great and now feels even better with the commuter otterbox case on it. I really like this case, it looks like it's part of the phone.

I love the way the phone feels in hand, just wish the 2nd(middle) camera lens wasnt so far in the center of the back of the device.
And the Camera button on the side doesnt feel like it is going to be able to go the long haul. Anybody tried shaking your Evo 3D a little? do u hear that little jiggle shaking sound? thats your camera button. now talk about that - 06-27-2011, 02:58 PM #7

Agreed with all. Feels like crack in my hand LOL. One little thing tho... Has anyone else noticed at night you can see through the physical buttons? This wasn't even the case on my OG EVO so when I noticed it I was very surprised...

Big reason why i prefer HTC as a manufacturer is their phones feel great in the hand. They feel like a high end phone and not a toy that will break after a little play time. (looking at samsung for that one)
Personal: Sprint Galaxy Nexus LTE, Nexus 7 16gb tablet

Yeah I was actually just thinking about that earlier. Despite how hard it is to pull that back cover off, I love it because it wraps around the edge of the phone for a secure, tight fit. No squeaks or creaks with the back cover
. Everything is solid except for those darn camera buttons. Blows my mind that some designers at HTC thought it was ok to have some loosey goosey buttons on the phone. Like many of you said, it kind of takes away from the experience when you can literally here the buttons jiggle. Maybe they did it on purpose so we would not be complaining a month from now about how loose they have gotten. - 06-28-2011, 01:46 PM #19

I also feel the back cover feels a bit flimsy when trying to remove it for the first time.. lots of us probably won't really have a reason to remove it unless to swap out the sd card for a larger one. but I ordered an extra one online before even receiving the device just in case. I'd pay top money for a metallic or stronger replacement
