Music App Problem?
Well when I play music on my phone and rotate it landscape mode it sometimes freezes. And it almost always happens when I'm playing music, rotate it to landscape mode, then lock the phone. And try to unlock it freezes and the phone restarts.
Is anyone else having problem? - 06-30-2011, 10:59 AM #2
Re: Music App Problem?
is this only with the stock music app? I will try to replicate and get back to you.

Re: Music App Problem?
I actually had a similar problem. When I plugged my phone in to charge while also playing music using the stock MP3 app through my car radio. It would freak out and start sounding like a record skipping really bad. Then it would freeze up for a second before working ok again.

Re: Music App Problem?
Happened To me as well, I plug in headphones and it starts skipping and then skips to next track 15 seconds into song. All started with the update they pushed OTA. Any ideas on how to fix it?

Re: Music App Problem?
Hmmm, used the stock music app with no problems until a few days ago when I flashed the Beats audio modded HTC music player. Haven't had any problems with it either. I listen to music on my phone constantly.
Please thank me if I have helped!

Have you installed any new apps recently? Maybe an app that has different components running in the background? I have had problems with apps that I have downloaded, messing with other apps and functions of the phone. I'm still new to the AndroidOS, so I am just going off what has happen to me. Maybe a newly installed app is messing with the music player.

Re: Music App Problem?
From what I have learned is it is dependant on a finnicky 3.5 mm headset jack. When plugged into an external source, headset, auxiliary. It switches between a regular headset and a microphone headset. The only way I was able to solve it is to download headset blocker from the market. Have had no issues since.

Re: Music App Problem?
For the moment, it seems as though i have relieved the problems. I uninstalled noled, that equalizer app that everyone uses, i dont even remember what it was called anymore, i also stopped using iphone headphones when running. and running is when i was experiencing these issue. But now, im just using earbuds that dont have a remote or anything. Somewhere amongst those changes the fix lies.

I've been having the same problem when plugged in to charge and when listening in my car through the headphone jack my phone sometimes just starts automatically voice dialing the last person I called. Not just once but I'm talking like every couple seconds to the point my phone freezes up and Pandora or slacker just stops. Just happened last week while I was taking a road trip but now it seems fine but happens randomly. Very irritating to happen while your driving

Had the exact same problem after doing all upgrades. Headset blocker did the trick (plain old headphones, not a handsfree call headset)
