Wanted to love Evo 3D but not sure anymore

Oh how I wanted to love this phone. And actually I do and I`m very impressed with everything. Except that if i don`t use it for more than an hour it turns off completely. and the power button doesn`t bring it back on either. The only way I`ve found to turn it back on is to pop the battery...
This is killing me.
Anyone else with the same issues and can it be fixed or should I just take it back?

do the bottom 4 buttons light up but not the screen? mine did this and i returned it yesterday for a new one. so far no problems with the new one. i'd take it back and swap it

I have not had that issue and sometimes my phone sits for longer than an hour without me touching it.

I would bring it back. You may want them to re-flash the phone in case it is a software issue and not a hardware one.

I would return it for a different one. That is not normal.

Agree. That is not normal. I haven't had any problems with mine at all and I've had it since 6/23. Return it. It appears that sometimes during the first phase of release there are batches that go out that aren't quite right. Some issues are fixed by ota (a couple have been pushed already) but if those haven't resolved your issues take it back. Good luck... I do hope you can experience a properly working model and get to experience this awesome phone without all the hassle.

Thank you guys. I`ll give it 2 more days and if it`s still does the same thing i`ll take it back on Tuesday. Other than that, it`s amazing.

I wouldn't even give it 2 more hours lol. You should return it asap, seems like a serious problem

I had this happen to the first phone I had. It would power off and I had to pull the battery. Exchanged it and the second phone is solid, except the camera button feels loose.
