Help me update but keep root-n00b

I love CM10 and all the other variants of AOSP rom's but I am back to sense based for the camera. I'm wanting to get the goods of the latest update but I am still wanting to keep root. Yes I am aware about the new hboot, but will that effect if I ever want to flash back to CM10 flashing through fastboot? I've seen OTA root keeper but not sure I trust it without people backing it.

Just flags a stock rooted Rom.

The new hboot prevents from flashing a boot IMG with recovery. You'll have to do it manually using fastboot on your computer. Or this s off thing I keep hearing about that I don't use.
