Speaker Quality
Now we all know that Sprints latest two phones have horrible external speaker quality.. GS2 and more so the Evo 3d.
My question is does the new EVO have much better external speaker quality this time? - 04-05-2012, 01:44 AM #2
Re: Speaker Quality
I hope so. The OG EVO had a crappy speaker, too. I know HTC can do better because they have in the past (WinMo phones, especially the TouchPro 2). I have to think that with the Beats inside they would have to consider the speaker during the development of everything now. It would be ironic and embarrassing if they didn't.

I sure hope so too I hate playing stuff on my 3D... It's pretty weak. I usually grab the wifes epic touch since it much louder albeit kinda distorted... Need to ask phil

Re: Speaker Quality
I forgot which hands-on I read it on, but the author said that the speakers on the HTC Evo 4G LTE was slightly better than the HTC One X. I'm not sure if that's good or bad because I don't really know how good the speakers are in the HTC One X.

Re: Speaker Quality
The reason I asked is because the true HTC one has a pretty big speaker grill on the back as opposed to Sprints version it doesn't seem to have one at all..I hope its not that little spec that shows on the picture. Wish all manufactures would take a que from Motorola on this.

Re: Speaker Quality
Hopefully the speaker is better than the Samsung GS2. Would be even better if it had a decent speaker phone.

Re: Speaker Quality
If it helps, the Rezound, which might be the closest relative to the EVO 4G LTE, has a very good speakerphone. And its speaker is not very big at all.

It must be HORRID!! I've asked Phil twice in his "ask me any questions" thread and he has purposely chosen not to answer it.

I know he is extremely busy, but he answered questions immediately preceding and following my question. This leads me to believe he doesn't want to answer it. - 04-08-2012, 08:10 PM #15

I never said I didn't like the speaker quality of the samsung galaxy s 2. it probably has the best speaker I've had in the phone ever but the gps is terrible and I'm sick of it. on top of that I miss all the great widgets you get with an htc sense phone. so unless they announce the galaxy s 3 with gps that actually works and htc sense I won't be getting it.
