No one knows yet. But you might want to look into the "Early Upgrade Buyout Program". It allows you to buyout the remainder of your waiting time for an upgrade and become immediately eligible for and upgrade. The price depends upon how long you've been a Sprint customer and how much time you have remaining to buyout.
It is MUCH cheaper than buying off contract if you are eligible. Just call customer service and then can let you know the cost. - 04-29-2012, 12:35 PM #3

Did that buyout program start up again? I I thought it expired after a certain amount of time.

Re: Price of EVO without contract?
I can confirm that this program exists and works. I just did it today and logged into my account, it already shows my eligibility as being fully restored. I would not have been eligible for a full upgrade for another 16 months. I will now be able to buy the EVO LTE @ $199 plus the cost of the buyout ($165 for me). So for $364 (not including applicable taxes), I will be in a $549.99 phone. BTW the $549 was also confirmed to be the price off contract today through both telesales and account services. You do have to speak with account services for this program.
Now hopefully I can get a decent amount for my Epic Touch....

Re: Price of EVO without contract?
Sorry about that, yes you are right. That should have been 16 months, I was attempting to multitask and apparently failed

Re: Price of EVO without contract?
That's consistent with what I have heard (other than the person above who bought out 16 months). I've heard that you must be within 1 year of your upgrade. If you bought in September of 2011, that would mean your next upgrade date would be July of 2013 and thus why she said August.
Of course, your mileage may vary so it can't hurt to call back. - 04-30-2012, 09:56 PM #17
