Default Who's picking up a 64GB micro SD?

Best Buy has the Sandisk 64GB Micro SD card for $80. I just ordered one for my new EVO.

What size SD are you putting in your new phone?

Be careful, a 64GB MicroSD may or may not work. That size is not officially listed as supported.

I'll be the first one to test it then.

I'll report my results as soon as I know.

I thought most 64gb cards are SXDC and not SDHC.. I think the EVO LTE supports SDHC.. so again, buy at your own risk - I haven't seen many if any devices say they support 64gb probably for that reason.

Reformat the card in the phone, there's a good chance it'll work.

"Good chance" not meaning "it will", you understand.

I put a 32 gig in my HTC Evo 4g, it said it was supported, the first one lasted 11mos., the second lasted two days, and so far this one has been in the cradle for about 6 weeks. But then again I got mine from Lexar.

Has anyone tried a 64GB in the EVO 3d? Maybe that could be an indicator if it will work in the LTE.

A lot of the folks in AndroidForums seems confident that a 64GB microSD card will work...

I got a Lexar 32GB Class 10 microSD card, but if you guinea pigs tell me a 64GB card works on the EVO 4G LTE, I'll definitely pick one up.

What is the worst that can happen with a 64GB, I really don't know. I have a 32GB in my sgs2 Tmobile works fine.

Ordered and done! Now just waiting for BB to hurry up and ship it.

Interesting that they had such a good price on this - very unlike BB. makes me wonder why? Old stock? New/replacement SKU coming out soon that would make this one obsolete?

I will more than likely pick one up once I get notification that my phone shipped.

I will more than likely wait for all of you test subjects to confirm that the 64gb works/does not work before buying the bigger card. Thanks for doing the leg work though...

I also have the Lexar 32 gb class 10 card. I see that these 64 gb cards seem to top out at class 6.

Assuming you can see the speed difference, beyond capacity, what's different about the newer higher capacity cards? Is more storage the only benefit or is a new 64 gb class 6 faster than older 32 gb class 10 cards? Has the way the speed is rated remained the same?

I think getting Class 10 is important - I wondered why my Dinc 2 was slow - I put a Class 4 32 GB and replaced it with a Class 10. Supposedly, even though the 64 GB micro SDXC format is not officially supported by most phones, if you format the card in your phone OR if you format it on the computer selecting FAT32 (NTFS is the default) that is the file format that Android recognizes and should work in most phones. The reason to format it in your phone (rather than the PC) is that gives you the highest probability of working. Right now, 64 GB micro SD is new so still rather expensive. Also, even though all Class 10 should be equal higher quality cards can and do make a difference from a reputable manufacturer.

I've read that random write speeds are more important. Something that the class speed doesn't tell.

Here is a great read on xda about it.

I picked up a genuine 64Gb Sandisk MicroSD card with SD adapter for ~$60.

I used EaseUs Partition Master Home Edition to format it to FAT32, which worked.
My GT7+ now recognizes ~58Gb of storage space.
