Re: EVO LTE reviews
Did YOU read it? They considered that good. I'm thinking laptop mag might have a different interpretation of moderate to heavy use than some of us.
Battery Life
A 2,000 mAh battery gives the Evo 4G LTE plenty of staying power. After 5 hours and 36 minutes of moderate to heavy usage, the phone still 11 percent juice left. That's pretty good endurance (the average Android phone gets 5:59), but we'll have to see how well the phone stands up once that 4G LTE radio gets put to good use. We'll update this review with more battery testing results shortly.
Verdict
Click to EnlargeThe HTC Evo 4G LTE is our new favorite Android phone on Sprint. It has a beautiful screen, a sharp and fast camera and longer battery life than the Galaxy Nexus, all wrapped in a head-turning design. HTC's Sense 4.0 software also adds appeal to the stock Android experience, making it more user-friendly. However, this handset is not quite Editors' Choice worthy because Sprint has yet to turn on its 4G LTE service. We simply don't know how well the network will perform, nor has Sprint said which markets will get lit up after those initial six cities. If you're on Sprint and like the idea of unlimited data, the new Evo represents a sound (and sexy) future-proof purchase, but a "coming soon" 4G promise rings a bit hollow at this stage of the game.
Honestly...its annoying reading all these reviews with incomplete battery life testing. - 05-11-2012, 05:35 PM #60
Re: EVO LTE reviews
Yea i did read it and considered that good but another review mentioned 10 hours of battery life so it totally confused me. I was merely posting the figure based on the review. I'm at a loss of what is considered good or bad battery life anymore lol

Re: EVO LTE reviews
Thats what it sounds like.....10 hours sounds like a heavy day of use if they are happy about it.
Basically....lets all wait for anandtech since their battery tests are probably the best out there. - 05-11-2012, 06:01 PM

Re: EVO LTE reviews (updated 5/14)
With these recent reviews, as well as Engadget's Myriam stating "24-36 hours with moderate usage", my battery fears have been quelled. Now all I need is Phil's word, if at the very least just to hold me over till I get one

Gizmodo review:
You know...i'm beginning to think there are some software bugs here...they had a hard time holding onto a solid connection in NYC (where I can tell you sprint service is just fine).
Could be the reason Verge saw a battery drain as well.
Despite this phone having a larger battery than the One X, battery life was actually slightly worse. We chock this up to the radio problems. It made it through to the end of the day most of the time, though.
